I had a simple leak that turned into a major problem. I thought I would be just replacing my sink so I called several Plumbers for an estimate and then I noticed that I had mold under my sink so I began my search again and only two companies could repair the sink and take care of the black mold too. Jay from the company Aftershock came out right away and gave me a free estimate and told me even if I didn’t use his company I would be informed as to what repairs needed to be done. He was very kind and professional from the moment I met him. It was a very expensive project for my budget and Jay at first offered to do it in stages however we were able to pay for it. Jay was able to do some minor adjustments on the original quote and he also helped me with another project out of the kindness of his heart. In my opinion having a good and honest contractor is like having a Good Doctor that you trust and respect because you want them to be honest and truthful because you may not know what the problem is in your house and you want someone like Jay from AfterShock who will perform quality work and tell you the truth!!! I wasn’t sure who to turn to for help when our new house flooded from a burst pipe. My first call was to our insurance company to file a claim and immediately they offered to handle the leak and ensuing clean up using their contractors. Thinking we were making a wise choice my wife and I consented to use their services and shortly thereafter a team arrived to assess the situation. They were courteous and prompt, but seemed to have a difficult time locating the leak in our slab foundation. After two days the leak had still not been repaired and we had to request that several items be reevaluated for wetness after their removal was deemed unnecessary. Feeling like we were losing control of the situation we reached out to a friend who told us about their great experience with Jeremy at Aftershock. Once the mitigation had been ‘completed’ by the insurance company’s vendor, we were able to sign a contract with Aftershock and they took over from there. Jeremy handled all of the paperwork and dealt with the insurance adjuster directly. He also negotiated a higher settlement with the insurance company in order to complete the removal of ALL damaged materials and reconstruct our home properly. In the end everything came out looking as good or better than before the leak occurred and our only regret was that we didn’t call Aftershock sooner.

After a huge storm, we had wind damage to our home. On the referral of a friend, we contacted Jeremy and Aftershock. From first contact through completion Aftershock was timely, professional, and clearly customer focused. We always felt this was a company working for us FIRST. Our options were explained completely, and when we decided to proceed with repairs they were done in a timely manner. The workers were fast, respectful to people and property, and work was done for LESS than quoted. Aftershock will be our first call if and when service is ever needed again, and we will and have recommended their work to anyone.

During the great wind storm of March 2017, I was working and received a call from my neighbor that my front awning was flapping in the wind. I raced home to see what I could do to prevent any further damage. I had once gotten a business card from a friend that knew someone who dealt in wind damage and things of the sort. While I was holding the awning down I called the number on the card to see what I should do. Jeremy answered and happened to be in the area when this was going down so he quickly came to help me. He looked everything over and doing a very thorough assessment of the situation and damage. Within a week the insurance company was contacted and we got the ball rolling on the repairs. In no time all damages were taken care of, damaged siding was replaced and my awnings are nice and new everything turned out great. I refer Aftershock to everyone whether they need work or not.
